Former Army Ranger helps save man on commercial jet
SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. — Before his flight left from Charlotte, Norvel Turner Jr. heard a fellow passenger yell for help.After running to catch the flight heading to Columbia, South Carolina, a 59-year-old man had collapsed in the aisle a few rows behind Turner.Not sure what had happened, Turner, a former Army Ranger instructor, watched as another passenger rushed over and started to do chest compressions.Turner’s military training then kicked in.
